Fly Fish in the George Washington National Forest
Hinton, Virginia
Description
Added by Stephen Catalano
Small streams and native brook trout make for a great day of fishing.
Fly fishing in this area isn't easy, but it makes for an even more fun adventure. The streams are tight with lots of overhang, but native brook trout are in these waters for catch and release fishing. Stop through one of the local fly shops (Mossy Creek Fly Fishing is a favorite and very well respected) for beta and gear!
Make sure you've got your fishing license, trout stamp, and the GWNF license as well.
