Snowbird - Salt Lake City, Utah
Alta, Utah
Description
Added by Robin Fenlon
Snowbird is an 11'000ft peak overlooking the city of Salt Lake. Its easily accessible via an aerial tram which leaves every 30 minutes and takes 10 to get up there. The views from the tram are incredible!
Snowbird is an exceptionally busy ski and snowboard resort about 30-40 minutes outside Salt Lake City. Going to the top of top of the mountain via the aerial tram in the Winter is packed with skiers and snowboarders - but, before the slopes open, in the morning is much less busy and beautiful... And, you don't need an expensive ski pass. Just a $20 visitor pass.
$20 and 10 minutes to be 11k feet above the valley seems like a pretty simple adventure to me!
