Don't leave Arches National Park before hiking to Delicate Arch. This is one of the most breathtaking and memorable sights there. If you don't want to do the hike, you can also see the arch in the distance by taking a short walk from the Delicate Arch Viewpoint. However, I recommend hiking the trail to see it up close. It is well worth it.
The trailhead begins pass Wolf Ranch. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. I recommend using it before starting the hike. The first half of the mile is well paved and fairly easy to climb. Once you reach smooth slickrock, the elevation ascents quickly and doesn't level out. There is no shade as well, so the climb feels worse. I had to stop every now and then to catch my breath due to the rapid ascent. The path is also marked by cairns to help guide you. Before you reach the arch, you will have to scramble on slickrock, hike on a narrow ledge with steps carved into the sandstone, with a sheer cliff to one side. The path is wide enough to allow other hikers to pass you. Continue on the path until you see Delicate Arch around the curve on your right. The sight is absolutely breathtaking. Climb over the sandstone and lean back against it to view the arch or climb down to get up close and personal. Once you're done admiring and photographing Delicate Arch, just hike back the way you came.
