A quick drive up one of the most scenic roads in Utah. The Alpine Loop allows you to wake up to this amazing view.

Pull into the Pine Hollow parking lot, just before the winter closure gate and watch the show. If you get there early enough you can watch Timpanogos go from the tones of soft alpenglow to the harsh vibrance of sunrise. In the winter make sure you remember enough blankets.

Drive-In Sunrise Reviews

Went there to photograph the Sunrise, and it was great. I went there in late fall, and the crowds weren't too bad. I was all alone while the sun rose. crowds started to come in later on, but overall it is a great spot.

Came here to shoot a timelapse of the sunrise and was not disappointed! Amazing view, and so easy to get to by car! If you’ve got the time and the road is open, be sure to continue past this point and drive the Alpine Scenic Highway!

Had a great! Awesome view of Timp as the sun comes rises! Super fun to drive the rest of the Alpine loop after your done with the sun rise. Got to love Utah!

We really loved this place! It has a gorgeous view, and is peaceful (if you go up early enough). We really had a great time enjoying the sunrise while we ate breakfast. I do have a few tips to make the experience even more enjoyable. - Be there early! If you're going to watch the sunrise make sure you are there at least 45 min early. The parking lot fills up quick, and to ensure a good spot be there early. - The pin drop only takes you to the mouth of the mountain. You will need to drive about 7.5 miles up the mountain and it's on the right. - there's a toll booth at the mouth, it doesn't open until 7AM every car must pay $6 if not there's a chance you will be ticketed. You can still head up the mountain before 7AM you just run the risk of getting fined. Overall we had a lot of fun. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to start their morning off right.
