Wildflowers bloom along the trail in the spring. The trail is accessible year-round and is open for dogs. The peak has amazing views of the valley and cities.  The park is also used for canoeing. 

Flint Hills Nature Trail [CLOSED] is a 91.9 mile point-to-point hike where you may see beautiful wild flowers located near Osawatomie, Kansas.

Take Simms Park road (continue straight through the roundabout) all the way until it ends. There is a parking area right by the trailhead. Enjoy the views of the Sandias Mountains and the pines. 

Easily accessible from Hunter, New York, Echo Lake is the perfect place for hiking, dog walking, fishing, and camping. In the spring, wildflowers are abundant and in the call, the trees offer brightly colored leaves. This trail remains open for use year round, but bring crampons or snowshoes in the winter!

The Nighthawk Trail / Black Mountain Loop is a great alternative to Torrey Pines that is slightly less crowded. If you choose to hike this trail at night, the city lights are relatively romantic.  Bring lots of extra water and consider grabbing a trail map, the signage isn't the best along the trail.
