The Echo Lakes Trail goes through California's Desolation Wilderness and features incredible views. This trail is rated as moderate, and is best for excited beginners or intermediate hikers. This hike takes roughly 3.5-4 hours. Dogs are allowed on trail if kept on leash. The trail is best used from April - October, but is accessible via snowshoes or cross-country skis in the winter. 

Fresh Pond Reservation Loop Trail is a loop trail that takes you by the lake located near Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Starting just before the Tennessee Valley parking lot, head out from the Miwok Trailhead. This Mill Valley hike offers incredible views of the San Francisco Bay, the Pacific Ocean (fog permitting of course!), and on occasion, wildlife. Unfortunately, this trail is not dog-friendly.  Keep in mind these trails can get crowded on the weekends especially due to their closeness to San Francisco.  ...

The hike is shady in most parts. In the spring, wildflowers are abundant (as are Huckleberries and Manzanita). The trail is accessible year round, and is great for hikers, walkers, trail runners, and nature trips.  Start the loop from the Skyline Blvd staging area take the Huckleberry Loop. 

Prophetstown Bike and Walk Trail is a 4.9 mile out and back hike that takes you past scenic views located near West Lafayette, Indiana.
