The trail features a gorgeous river, and is enjoyable for all skill levels. Dogs are allowed to use this trail, but must be kept on leash.  Parking at Blue Hole Park is relatively easy. Once parked, head west down the river for about a quarter mile and you'll find some picnic tables and a pavilion area. 

Above the famous Wind Cave, miles of natural mixed-grass natural prairie cover the Black Hills. In summer, the lush grasses attract the park's free-roaming bison herd as well as elk, pronghorn antelope, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets. Texas Frontier Western Heritage Trails is a 1.1 mile loop hike where you may see beautiful wild flowers located near Mineral Wells, TX.

Camel Back Trail is a loop trail where you may see local wildlife located near Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

Park in the big lot off E Little Elm Trail Road (see map) to access the trailhead. Trail is accessible year round and is dog-friendly. 

Trinity River Trail (Oakmont Park) is a 5.4 mile out and back hike that takes you by a river located near Fort Worth, TX.

The trail features a waterfall and is open year-round, but is best used in the spring. Remember to bring $15 cash for the parking fee. The Laguna Beach trail is shared by trail runners, mountain bikers, hikers, and the occasional horseback rider. Dogs are not allowed in Crystal Cove State Park.

Park in the lot by White Hall post office and head onto the trail. Dog friendly, great for families, and not heavily used. Makes for a serene experience. 

The Deer Canyon Loop Trail is an easy drive from Orange County and Newport Beach. In the spring, wildflowers are abundant along the trial. This is a favorite spot for trail runners, hikers, and mountain bikers. The trail is kept in great condition year-round and is very wide. There is very little shade along the trail, so bring extra water! There is a parking fee of $15.
