"The Mound" Loop

Nice park! The bison herd is a highlight. Last year we camped in the teepees and it was a fun adventure for the kids! Hiking up to Eagle rock gives you a nice panoramic view. Hiking along the cliff is great too!

Backpack to Deer Haven in Badlands NP

Deer Haven is amazing! In addition to the rugged scenery, solitude, and amazing wildlife (bison, pronghorn, deer, rattlesnakes, etc) the night sky is stunning!

Great Bear Valley Trail

Great Bear is known for skiing but it’s a great place for summer hikes too! If you are training, hiking up and down the ski hill a few times is a great workout!
