Floated this for a friend’s bachelorette party in late September and the conditions were absolutely perfect! The river was fairly low (~4,000cfs) which made for a couple steep banks/inclines up to our campsites, but nothing unmanegable. Bugs were only bad once the sun went down and it was still warm, but definitely bring plenty of bug spray (and sunscreen)! We stretched the trip a bit and camped three nights instead of just two nights, which made our days floating very leisurely. You can get campsite permits 2 months in advance from the dates you want on recreation.gov and they sold out extremely fast, so recommend being on it!

We wanted to do this from our first day in Montreal but didn't get a chance until the very last day a few hours before our flight out. Since we were a bit short on time, we actually rented some of the electric Bixi bikes from a station by the University to get us up the hill faster than walking would. The main dirt path was super well maintained so the heavy Bixi bikes did well on it and we zipped right to the top! With that extra time we explored some of the paths and stairways just a bit of a walk from the paved viewpoint platform which was well worth it to get some other cool views of the city and the forest surrounding the pathways. Definitely don't miss this adventure while you're in Montreal! Didn't get another view even near as great as this one anywhere else in the city.

Trail is very well maintained! We ran into a bit of hail on the way back down, but other than that we had amazing late summer conditions. We even took a dip in the lake while the sun was out!

We went out on this trail in early March and the San Diego river was full! It might have been a bit too early for wildflowers, but we've heard if you time it right this is an amazing place to see them bloom. All the big trees and native CA plants along the trail are super beautiful. We pulled into the parking lot right around 6:30am (just before sunrise) and found parking pretty easily - although on our way out around 8am the small lot next to the river was full. Plenty of parking on Father Junipero Serra Trail road leading up to the small parking lot in case it is full!

This was a fun, relatively quick hike in Yosemite. The path is mostly paved, and it is pretty steep. The view the entire way is so gorgeous - so it's worth it for sure!

Super unique rock/cliff formations & an awesome view over the lagoon and out to the ocean at the top! Avoid when the trail might be wet/during rainy weather (hardly ever in SD anyways). Usually not too busy & super doable as an after work / weekday evening hike!

Grandview is the best - always a little less busy than other Encinitas/Leucadia beaches, and so beautiful! Surfing is great & good for beginners because it’s a mellow crowd. If you’re looking to hangout on the beach definitely try to go at mid-low tide. There isn’t much sand at high tide and you don’t want to sit right next to the cliffs.
