This is a great place to walk in town. The paved walkway is well maintained and there are several trails you can add to make it longer. One con: bathrooms are not routinely accessible, especially on weekends.

We had such a lovely time calping at Vogel State Park. It was clean and very well maintained. It was very quiet dispite having more than 90 full campsites. Dogs were allowed and campsites had water, electricity, and sewer hookups for RVs. There are many hiking areas to explore nearby and the rangers were very helpful. The brand new visitors center made this one of the nicest state parks I’ve ever visited.

This was a lovely moderate hike that was suitable for our dogs as well as my parents (who are in their mid- to late 60s). The view at the top was a fabulous to hang out and rest before making the trip back down to the parking lot. We did have to wait for a parking space when we arrived at 11am. There were several available when we left around 2pm.
