Walk with Penguins on Martillo Island

Pira Tours is the exclusive operator of this trip. We are here in February and saw Gentoo and Magellan Penguins on the island. The Gentoo come from October to March, the Magellan are a colony and live on the island year round. To protect the penguins they limit visitors to 20 at a time, 120 a day. They are very serious about this, and expect visitors to follow the protective limits closely. It was a highlight of our trip!
