Walk around Peters Lake and enjoy the different views of the water and forest areas surrounding. The terrain varies, some of it is paved, some is dirt trail, some has large tree roots/rocks. You can park at either of the parking lots on Center Church Rd for the starting point; you'll have to walk along the road a little ways to complete the loop. 

The Palmetto Boardwalk trail in Goose Creek State Park takes you through the woods and a cypress swamp. Start by parking in the lot by the park office and then head out on the boardwalk as an out-and-back trail or connect to the Ivey Gut or Tar Kiln trails if you're looking for a longer loop.  Note: Pets are not permitted on the trails, but are permitted at the campsites in the park.
