Awesome short little hike to the caves in the hills above Tarzana. Parking is in the neighborhood right before the trailhead. Steep incline for the first quarter mile, then at the first Y take a left to head down to the caves.

Awesome Little Spot you have to check out next time you’re in Pine! They have goodies from all made with Lavender grown just steps outside the farmhouse ranging from soaps and bathbombs to hot coco and lemonade mixes as well as some baked goods! They also offer cooking classes on site! Must see if visiting Pine

Great Water flow in March! Just got back, hike is short and easy to follow, with multiple spots along the creek to hop in and cool off. Getting there is the hard part! Would highly reccomend for the average person to come from Camp Verde taking Fossil Creek Rd. It is a roughly 16 mile washboard dirt road. AWD/ 4x4 is reccomended. If coming from Strawberry/Pine it is worth driving the couple extra miles to take Fossil Creek Road from HWY 260, as google maps will take you on FR708. FR708 is a unmaintained rocky Technical Trail that will require High Clearance 4x4 and requires you to stay at 5-10mph for 15ish miles leading to a much longer drive out. I would reccomend avoiding taking this road unless you’re ready and prepared for a long rocky drive. A few pics above for anyone coming that way!

Great veiws, super crowed midday, and awesome sunset watching in evening. Super short “hike” less than a quarter mile from the parking lot. Great 360 veiws if you climb above the hole to top, but some slick rocks along the edge so climb at your own risk!

Great walking, running, biking trail along the Arizona Canal. Not crowed, and very close to Old Town Scottsdale. Trail entry points throughout the surrounding neighborhoods and parking at the Arizona Falls Parking lot. Great views of Sunset in the evening and a chance to see bats as well.

Easy to park at the Mogollon Rim Visators center to access the hike. Beware bathrooms are closed during the winter season. They open back again in april. Great views along the path

Amazing day trip from San Diego. 360 views at the top of Mount Woodson, and a great photography spot atop a razor thin rock hanging over the edge of the mountains. Hike starts in Poway 30 north of San Diego. You can start the hike from multiple locations but we start at the Mt. Woodson Trail near the Cal Fire Ramona station. Its about 2 miles from the Fire Station, and almost entirely uphill. Not a ton of shade so make sure you bring lots of water!

One of my fav off the beaten path hikes. Mild flat walk for the first .25 miles. Then a continuous and gradual climb for the rest of hike. Great workout getting to the first set of caves and a good rest point. Contuining from there to the upper caves for some amazing veiws of the ocean.
