This was one of the most exciting backpacking trips I have been on. Our group took an inflatable raft and spend the night on the island in the lake. The only thing was the hike felt like more than three miles. It's probably more like 4 or 5 miles. When it seemed long I stated counting paces and the mile markers ended up being pretty inaccurate. That being said it was still a great hike.
