Mostly flat, dirt trail. Views are best on the way back because you can see both the ocean to the north and the mountain to the south. Great hike if you're a nervous solo hiker. Definitely bring water and sun protection though!

Rose Canyon Trail

Trail was well marked. It was wide in some places and narrow and lined with vegetation in others. There is parking at the trail head, just beware if you have a small car, you might need some clearance to drive through the ruts.
