Bison Trail

Took my son a lunch and 2 dogs. Trail was fairly well marked. My son spotted a buffalo about 800 yards away on the next ridge line about half way through the loop. When you get there the road signs are a little less clear as I never saw a sign for Bison Trail. Road sign to look for are "Dog Run Hollow Trail" this is the start for several loop trails near trail HQ (closed on the weekend). We received better information at the visitors center a few miles away. They were super helpful and friendly there and this afforded us the opportunity to get extremely close to prairie dogs at the prairie dog town near the road. All in all it was a good day. It was hot and humid the day we went. Take plenty of water and a water bowl for the dogs.
