Timelapsing Kings Canyon

Yosemite's Lesser Known Neighbor

By: The Outbound Collective + Save to a List

Kings Canyon National Park is often forgotten in the shadow of its more famous neighbor to the north, Yosemite National Park, but Gavin Heffernan shows us in his epic timelapse video that this place is a force to be reckoned with. Heffernan covered 1,353 square miles searching for the ideal vantage points to capture these incredible night skies amid Giant Sequoia Trees and towering cliffs, and the work sure did pay off - you've never seen night skies like this before. Be sure to check the massive meteor strikes at 1:41 and 2:26!
