This is a beautiful spot to hike and hang out that's just a short drive away from Bryan/College Station
Turn onto the dirt CR-264 and drive about a half mile or so to get to Sugarloaf Mountain. If you reach the old bridge, you have gone a little too far. Park your car on the side of the road and make sure other vehicles can get by you.
There are a couple of trails to get up to the rocks, but the easiest to find is a dirt path that starts on the road, and has a few wooden posts in the ground at its entrance. Once you find it, just follow the trail up through the brush and it will take you right to Sugarloaf Mountain!
When you get to the top you will be greeted with great views of the surrounding landscape. The sandstone itself is beautiful and has lots of carvings from past visitors. Take some time to explore the area and take it all in.
