Shakerag Hollow, located in Sewanee, Tennessee, offers a 2.39-mile loop trail that is rated as moderate in difficulty. The trail is known for its diverse flora and fauna, with over 500 species of plants and a variety of wildlife. The trail begins with a steep descent into the hollow, followed by a gradual climb back up. The trail features a creek that hikers will cross several times via footbridges. Along the way, hikers will encounter a series of limestone bluffs and outcroppings. In the spring, the trail is adorned with wildflowers, including trillium and bloodroot.
