Relax at Matemwe Beach Village

Matemwe Beach Village is a Zanzibari guesthouse in Northeastern Zanzibar, right off the coast of Tanzania. The guesthouse lives peacefully amongst the local villagers and has a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere about it.

Treat yourself to a massage with traditional Zanzibar oils, get a manicure/pedicure, go for long walks on the beach, meditate with some yoga on the beach at sunrise, and discover life as it has been lived for centuries, time set by the sun and tides. You can also enjoy Matemwe Beach Village's coffee corner, cushion lounge, dhow lounge, pool bar, and shady beach bandas to your heart's content.

Their restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and they offer a snack menu available at the pool bar during the day. The restaurant is situated in the main thatch area of the lodge. Daily menus are small but carefully planned to please all seafood lovers, non-seafood lovers, and vegetarians. Sometimes they even offer dinner poolside.

Matemwe Beach Village is also home to the oldest dive centre in Matemwe, One Ocean. They offer daily snorkeling and SCUBA diving boat trips. When you've had your fill of diving (if that's even possible), you can swim in the guesthouse pool, go sailing, hire a bike, or even challenge the villagers to a friendly game of football. The possibilities here are endless!
