Cliff Jump at Horsethief Lake near Mount Rushmore

Horsethief Lake is right off of highway 244 on your way to Mount Rushmore, great views of nearby granite rock outcroppings, and Harney Peak in the Distance.

There will be a pull-off right when you see the lake on the West side of the road. Park there then hop the guardrail and its just a little rock scramble up the hill to get to the granite cliff to jump from. There are several heights ranging from about 14 feet to close to 50 feet. Just make sure you are always using good judgement when jumping and jump out away from the rocks and edge. Check out this link to see some footage of cliff-jumping:
