Description

Added by Maddie Fulkerson

Enjoy a leisurely stroll from the parking lot at Tennessee Valley to the beach. If a casual walk isn't your style, then run, bike or horseback ride down this beautiful and popular trail.

Start at the parking lot and trailhead at Tennessee Valley. From there you can walk 3.6 miles round trip out to the beach and back or take any number of trails that branch off north or south. There are many trail options that are all well marked, take a trail north to Muir Beach or south to Rodeo Beach. The walk to Tennessee Valley Beach is a nice way to spend an hour or so, and the beautiful colored sand and interesting rock formations at the end are worth it. This trail is typically fairly crowded on the weekends with people running, walking, cycling and horseback riding, however the traffic thins out as you get closer to the ocean. After your walk lunch in Mill Valley is only a few minutes drive away.
