When most people think about Yosemite, the first things that come to mind are El Capitan, Half Dome, the Valley or waterfalls. But there’s way more to explore. Here’s Indian Rock, a natural granite arch perched up high on a ridge along the trail to North Dome. It’s the only natural arch in the park. Since Yosemite’s Tioga Road is closed for the winter, the only way to now reach this wonderful place is to hike upward from the valley, starting 4500 feet below! It’s one of the steepest hikes in Yosemite and feels grueling, but my reward was this vibrant sky and that fantastic view... it was incredibly invigorating and awe inspiring!
