Description

An amazing adventure trek through a canyon that allows you to view 10 different waterfalls; several of which you can walk behind. This is a 9 mile loop that has two shorter loops if you want to make it an easier trek.

This trail is in the Silverfalls State Park. It costs five dollars to park for the day and there is a lodge for a post hike snack/beverage. The total hike is about 9 miles. Park at the South Falls lodge and start at The Rim trail. You will see signs for the ten falls trail but if you follow my advice it is an epic hike of turning the corner and seeing a majestic falls. By taking the rim trail you will work your way down to the canyon trail and be sure to not miss a single falls. You will follow the rim trail to the North Falls trail head, be sure to go past the trail head and see the Upper North Falls. This is the first of ten! After Upper North falls follow the canyon trail. If you don't want to do all ten falls or get tired there are two cut offs that shorten the hike, one at Winter Falls (here you will take the switch backs up and follow the rim trail back to the parking lot) and the second one is before the South Falls Loop (called Maple Ridge trail that is a mile back to the lot). If you do the full nine miles pass the Maple ridge and do the South Falls loop.
