This beautiful sunflower fields is only in bloom for about two weeks per year!
If you're driving along US 68 towards Yellow Springs, Ohio in early September, you just may be lucky enough to come upon the Tecumseh Sunflower Field in full bloom! You only have about two-three weeks where the flowers will be bright, happy and alive, so make plans to hit it in time. There is free parking down a lane right in front of the field that should be utilized. The field is hugely popular for senior pictures, engagement photo sessions, dorm hall pictures for students at the local colleges, and marriage proposals! For best pictures, come within an hour or two of sunset or sunrise. The field can get quite crowded in the late afternoon and on weekends, so plan accordingly! But don't worry too much about others ruining your shot - the field is several acres large, and if you're willing to walk a bit into the field, you should be able to capture some frames without any people in them. In recent years I have seen photographers bring ladders with them to get up over the flowers. The flowers have usually bloomed right after or around labor day weekend, so be sure to swing by for some great views and pictures!

Really cool view, and great photo opportunities! Worth the visit if you're in the area during the limited time they are in bloom, especially since it is free to walk through the fields. Sadly, they will not be open in 2020.
