This is an amazing hike with a breathtaking view that overlooks the Pigeon Forge Gorge. At the end of this hike there will be a lookout tower that sits on top of a rocky outcropping. The tower is octagon shaped and was built using stone and wood. There is a also a wrap around deck around the tower.
This hike begins from the Low Gap trailhead near the Crosby campsite. The hike will begin at the Crosby Nature Trail. At .8 miles you'll reach the Mt. Camerrer Trail junction. Turn right to continue on to the trail. At around 3 miles you will eventually reach the AT, which you will turn left at this junction. You will continue your trek and at under 5 miles, you should reach the summit of Mt. Camera, which stands at 4928 ft. in elevation.
Around May-June there are beautiful flowers in bloom along the floors of the forest and along the top of the trail.
