The Poet's Ledge Trail is a scenic, 6.4 mile hike in Kaaterskill Wild Forest.

The Poet's Ledge Trail begins just outside Palenville, New York. The trail climbs 2200 feet of elevation to reward hikers with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash.

The trail is open for use year round, but is best travelled from April through October. In the spring, the wildflowers are epic. In the fall, the colors are breath taking.
