The trail offers a variety of natural features, including a small, clear stream that hikers cross via a wooden bridge. The trail is also home to a variety of local wildlife, including deer and various bird species. One of the trail's most notable features is the panoramic view of the surrounding area from the summit of Mount Kilburn. This route to the top of Mount Ascutney is completed via the Weathersfield Trail. This trail goes past gorgeous Cascade Falls - often frozen in the winter months. There is a great spot to eat lunch at the top of Mount Ascutney to the side of the hang glider landing. While the summit itself does not offer stunning views, Gus’ Lookout is great for taking in the surrounding landscapes!
