Manuel Antonio Costa Rica Vacation: Staying in a Hotel or at a Vacation Rental

By: Muhammad Tayyab + Save to a List

Manuel Antonio National Park is located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The area’s rich biodiversity and the many activities make this attraction a complete, adventure-packed destination. This area of the country is popular among tourists during the holidays, and the best thing about it is that there are many rental options in the area itself and nearby.

Finding a Place to Rent While on a Manuel Antonio Vacation

When picking the best rentals within Manuel Antonio, it's imperative that you first select the apartment or hotel you want to rent in accordance to what it has to offer. Aside from furnished apartment rentals and prime locations, you should also pick the right type of place for you to live in.

Are you living alone or are you sharing the rent with some other person? If so, your option should include considerations when it comes to apartment or hotel type (i.e., is it a one-bedroom or two-bedroom setup?). A one-bedroom apartment is great for couples and lone people, while two bedrooms can house up to four people. The rent price should be justified with the right utilities and facilities, such as whether or not you're tasked to pay for electricity and water or how complete the furnishings are.

Considerations When Choosing a Rental

You should take into consideration what you want included (or not) in your rental home. You can have the utilities incorporated with the rent so that you'd have a realistic take on how much everything will cost -- and whether can afford it or not (or whether you should get a roommate to shoulder part of the rental burden).

When searching for furnished apartment rentals, it's all about budget, proximity, accommodations, and area of living space. It should be big enough to justify the price. It should also feature all your necessities in one place and accommodate your budget so that you won't end up in debt for renting.

The most important step in your quest to find the perfect rental after all the planning is done is, of course, to actually look for it. Search the Internet, list down your candidates, and make it a point to do close price comparisons (maybe you can save gas because it's near the mall or your workplace, or you can save on heating bills because it's in a location that doesn't have particularly cold winters).

Again, real estate, even leased ones, is all about location, location, location. Sure, you don't want to end up in over your head just because you want to stay at a hotel with a view and furniture to go along with it, but that doesn't mean you should settle for a room with bullet holes all over it or a recent chalk body outline on the sidewalk. That's an extreme example, but you get the idea.

If walking distance isn't an option, then how about a place that's situated in the middle of grocery stores, malls, and public transportation? Again, you'll get to save on gas money, plus there's a regular supply of food and other supplies nearby. The key to moving successfully to a prime piece of leased real estate is to find one that has high location value that justifies its rent price. Find a place that's close to all your necessities.

Finding the right rental is all about making a choice that best suits your circumstances and budget. That said, having a budget can simplify a normally complex process because it eliminates needless or out-of-the-question options from the start. This makes choosing your favored rentals all the more easy.
