The Mount Hollywood and Mount Bell Trail is popular for those wishing to find scenic views of Los Angeles through a moderate workout.
The Mount Hollywood and Mount Bell Trail is a 6.6 mile loop outside of downtown Los Angeles. Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash. The trail is open year round, but is best used from October - February. Bring more water than you think you are going to need. 3-4 liters is recommended, especially in the summer, given that the trail offers little to no shade.
To find the trailhead: Turn onto Fern Dell Dr. off Los Feliz and drive into Griffith park; park alongside the road across from The Trails Cafe and walk across the dry creek, then turn left and head uphill.
