Additional Info & Amenities

Our campsite is located on the Turner Farm peninsula on North Haven Island -- a one-hour ferry ride from Rockland, ME ferry terminal. You can also access the island by boat or charter -- connect with the CampKeeper for more information on moorings. You can drive up to the area with only a short walk to your site, or you can arrange for a lift from the ferry terminal with our CampKeeper. The site is situated in a quiet cove overlooking the water and surrounded by spruce and mosses. The farmers work in their vegetable beds on the other side of the farm, which you will pass on your walk towards our beautiful sweeping rocky beach on the bay. Bicycling, birdwatching, and sea kayaking are all popular activities on the island -- as is, well, just enjoying a rest. Fresh lobsters and oysters are available during the Memorial Day to Labor Day season. Turner Farm is also known for its Barn Suppers during the summer and tickets are available on their website (turner-farm.com). Seats quickly sell out, so plan ahead!
