Hike the Dow Woods Trails

My daughter and I decided to drive the hour and check out this short trail. It was very nice kept. The trail itself was all concrete with about 2 feet wide sections on each side of nicely mowed grass. There were some briars sticking out in the grass if you have a dog, as I did, who might get snagged up. But our German Shepherd had no issues. While on our walk we saw about 100 Golden Silk Orb-Weaver Spiders and one Smooth Green Snake. I couldn't get over the size of the Orb-weaver spiders. Thankfully, they were all above us so we never walked into their spider web. It was a very nice walk. I was a little concerned about the parking area as the road doesn't get a lot of traffic. I as worried my car would be broken into but, thankfully, everything was fine.
