The Mount Judah Loop Trail is a 5.1 mile hike in North Lake Tahoe with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains at multiple ridgeline vistas.
The Mount Judah Loop Trail is perfect for all skill levels. The trails are great for hiking, trail running and snowshoeing. In the spring and summer, wildflowers are abundant. Snow patches can exist until late August or September so be prepared with adequate footwear. There are amazing rock formations! If you take a detour and climb the rocks to catch a view of Donner Lake, watch for a hidden box under the granite rocks where you can leave a note or something to share with your fellow hikers.
Dogs are allowed on this trail. This hike can get busy after 10am, especially on weekends. There is very little shade on this trail so bring extra water and wear sunscreen and a hat!
