Relatively easy hike with less vertical climbs than other hikes in the area. Feels longer than 5 miles but probably because our family of 6 made many stops to "play". Most of the hike is along a mountain stream that lowers the temperature several degrees and is almost always out of the sun.

Hike the Elk Knob Summit Trail

Well maintained trails and relatively constant grade. Trail is well marked and even has mile markers along the way. Great view at the top. Highly recommend.
