Landon Nature Trail is a 12.1 mile point-to-point hike located near Topeka, Kansas that features wildflowers and wildlife in a wooded area.
This easy trail is great for a number of activities including hiking, biking, running, and horseback riding. It’s partially paved, but does have some rough sections. It’s an enjoyable spot to get active while taking in the natural scenery. It’s the only recreational trail in the US that will link the Oregon National Historic Trail with the Santa Fe National Historic Trail when completely finished. Few trails in the Midwest match the scenery and historic background this trail boasts.
The trail is best accessed from March to November. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed. Visit this trail for a solo run or bring along family or friends for a peaceful group activity.

Reviews
This is a good local trail to Topeka. It is a rails-to-trails trail that will be pretty flat...but also not very crowded. I like to hop on the trail at the 53rd street trailhead and head south. If you really want to get away from the city, hop on at the Berryton trailhead and go south from there as well.
