Antelope Island is under-rated in my opinion. Sure it can smell pretty bad because of the brine shrimp and the GSL, and the bugs can be intense, but the landscape is beautiful and unique. You almost guaranteed to see wildlife, and the sunsets are incredible.

Donut falls is awesome! Be prepared to scramble up to the falls at the end. Do not hike this on Memorial Day, haha. I did and it was slammed. I didn't even attempt to get up to the falls , but earlier spring, late fall, or during the week, you'll have a great experience. Unique waterfall and beautiful trail.

Ensign peak isn't incredible, but for how short and easy this hike is, the view is great. This is a great family hike, or a great hike if you're time is limited. The trailhead is 5 minutes from downtown. The entire trail is exposed, so make sure you plan for the heat if you're going mid day in the summer.

If you are taking your 4 legged friend on this hike during the summer, make sure that they have booties or you go early morning. The first 1/2 mile is totally exposed and the trail is sand. We got about 60 yards and had to turn around. I came back at a later date and hiked it with my family. It was steeper than anticipated, but the waterfall was well worth the climb! It wasn't overly crowded when we did it last August either.

I did not visit sunset cliffs at the best time of year, but it was a really neat spot! Great spot for photos and fun for family's if you scramble down closer to the water, you can find crabs, urchins, and small fish in the tide pools. I'm hoping to visit again in September.
