From the main parking area take the Beach Barrier Trail which takes you through several different types of environment; fields, forests, and marshland before reaching Laudholm Beach to further explore or take a dip.Walk the length of Laudholm Beach if you have time where barrier beaches protect a mud flat habitat supporting shellfish and shorebirds.

Park in the designated lot directly off Troy Rd and begin the loop at the only trail entering the parking area (the lot only holds about 4-5 vehicles). Because this is a loop trial, when it splits after 200 yards take either route and still end at the parking area. The loop is 2.3 miles long and a great hike or escape for families with children and/or dogs. 

This is a quick hike to add to the list if you're making a trip to the Cheyenne Canon area. Parking is limited to about 15 cars and fills up fast so be sure to start early or the first part of your hike might start from a further parking or pull-off along the road. This is the same parking lot and trailhead as Mt. Muscoco and is a great hike to pair together!
