Park at the log-cabin visitor's center on North Cheyenne Canyon Rd just before it turns into Gold Camp Rd. I definitely recommend arriving early, as the parking lot fills up quickly. Helen Hunt Falls is in sight of the parking area, and another 1/3 mile past that you'll run into Silver Cascades.
The trail can get quite busy, so I'd recommend visiting on a weekday if possible.

To get to the trailhead start on Old Stage Rd. After 11 miles turn right onto Forest Service Rd 379. This is a 4WD road. A small/large SUV, or truck should do the trick, nothing too crazy though. Drive on FS 379 for 1.5 miles until you come to an open field on the right known as Frosty Park. There are no signs but when the road opens up into the field it'll be obvious to park here, where the tr...

After crossing the Mousam River on Western Ave, see signs and gravel pull-off areas for parking at the Bridle Path trailhead. Hike the Eldridge Wilderness Loop
Ithaca, New York
2.3 mi

Park in the designated lot directly off Troy Rd and begin the loop at the only trail entering the parking area (the lot only holds about 4-5 vehicles).
Because this is a loop trial, when it splits after 200 yards take either route and still end at the parking area. The loop is 2.3 miles long and a great hike or escape for families with children and/or dogs.
