I hiked this trail for the first time the other day. I went solo as there really aren't many people around here who would want to hike close to 14 miles. Really was not challenging at all. I am giving it 4 stars because, although it was a great hike, there were no amazing views at the peaks of big climbs. I kept expecting one but came to realize that the coolest views were looking forward to big climbs and looking back from the top. Pack plenty of food and water. I prefer to have a hiking stick or trekking poles. Don't pack too heavy. Took me about 6 hours including about 40 minutes of rest for lunch and photography. Started right at 9:00 am so there weren't many people out on the trail. You can actually start as early as 7:00 which is recommended in the summer. If you are blessed with a companion who likes to hike, take them with you.
