Amazing sunrise and sunsets, during the right seasons, you will be able to spot many stars and the milky way at night.Great for photography enthusiasts! The landscape is pretty awesome and you get to be up close to a real live crater!

Set off from Cemoro Lawang (base of Bromo). The trails are pretty simple and you may ask the staff from your lodging to provide you a map.

If you wish to catch the sunrise, do set off early in the morning at 3-3.30am. There are various locations that overlook Mt Bromo at sunrise. The popular main spot can be very crowded with tourists during sunrise so you may want to venture further for a more peaceful sunrise. A nice one could be this(https://www.google.com/maps/views/view/114308345165399261967/gphoto/6031495338984119106?gl=gb&heading=178&pitch=88&fovy=90)

After sunrise, you can cross the 'sea of sand' to reach Mt. Bromo and climb up to the rim of the crater. For those who wish to have a relaxing time, you may charter a jeep across the 'sea of sand'. For those who want a bit more adventure, you may hike across it. It is a flat ground so it will not be too challenging. Getting up to the rim of Mt Bromo's crater is not too tough as there are proper built stairs for you to climb up. It can get quite sandy though.
