Known as the "Niagara of the West," Shoshone Falls' double tiered waterfall is 45 feet taller than it's eastern counterpart.
From Highway 93 in Twin Falls turn east onto Falls Avenue. After two miles turn left onto Champlin Road and continue to the entrance of Shoshone Falls Park.
Enjoy a view of the waterfalls from one of the many lookout decks. For a longer adventure, hop on the paved Centennial Trail and walk, run, or bike 1.4 miles to the site of Evel Knievel's unsuccessful 1974 jump across the canyon on a rocket powered motorcycle.
Shoshone Falls is dam controlled and runs highest during spring. Current water flow can be seen via a live webcam provided by the City of Twin Falls.
After your waterfall adventure head to Elevation 486 for the best happy hour menu in town and outdoor tables along the canyon rim.

The Shoshone Falls are beautiful to look at, but the falls and the river are amazing from the bottom. I camped downstream of the falls and then paddle boarded up to the base of the falls. There are lots of cool crags and rocks to look around and being at the base of the falls is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend getting in the water and experiencing it that way.

If you want to see Niagra Falls, but can't make it to New York, check out Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls. I went there for the first time last year and had some tourist tell me they had just been to Niagra Falls, and they thought Shoshone Falls was more impressive. Pretty interesting. This adventure is great and helps you know what to do while you're there. Definitely check this place out.

Cool sight to see if you're passing through the area. But, I wouldn't say that it's worth it if is your only destination. Not much to do other than stand behind the gate and watch the water fall.
