Relax at Lanikai Beach

Hawaii Lanikai Beach

Added by Hillary + Matt

Lanikai beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Escape the crowds in Waikiki and enjoy great views of the surrounding, smaller islands offshore.

During the weekdays the beach is relatively empty, but on weekends during peak tourist season it can become extremely crowded. Lanikai is a popular spot for photo shoots as renowned models and photographers frequent the place on nice days. Due to its position on the east side of the island, Lanikai is recognized as being great place to watch the moonrise over the Mokuluas, especially during the full moon. This is definitely a place to come, and if you can surf while you're here, icing on the cake!

How to Get There

One of the worlds best beaches...

and everyone knows it!! This beach can get really crowded and parking can be very difficult, so keep that in mind... but, if you don't mind being surrounded by people, this beach is highly recommended!! The sand is marvelous and the water is calm and clear. A view of the Mokes adds that little extra and provides a subject for your ocean shots!

Relaxing And Clean

Nice, easy-going beach. Not too many waves, just good for lounging. Safe, no garbage on the sand, beautiful beach and water.
