A beautiful hike through the Höllentalklamm (Hell Valley Gorge) that winds through waterfalls, bridges, and tunnels.
Starting from the parking lot, walk 500m to the trail head. The hike begins with a gravel path that winds up an initial climb and spills out onto a gravel road. The marked trail leads to a hut that serves as the entrance to the gorge. The hut serves light food, drinks, and has free bathrooms available. You will need to pay 5€ per person to enter the gorge and continue the trail, but it is definitely worth it.
It can be chilly and wet in the gorge, consider bringing a light waterproof jacket in the summer. Follow the trail through the gorge, winding through waterfalls, over bridges, and through tunnels.
After the gorge, the trail continues to climb with amazing views, ending at the Höllentalangerhütte. The hut serves warm food, drinks, and has a large outdoor patio to relax with stunning views of the Zugspitze.
