Stroll around the Lake Underhill Park Loop

Florida Lake Underhill Park

Added by The Outbound Collective

The natural scenery of Lake Underhill makes this hike a welcome refuge for those who need a break from the city scenery.

Park in the lot and head out either direction for an easy loop around the lake. You'll be sharing the path with runners, cyclists, dogs (on leash), and other hikers, so be aware of your surroundings and remember to stay right. You may see boaters out on the lake which can add intrigue to your hike.

Remember to wear sunscreen--not only to protect from the sun beating down but also the light reflecting off the water. Also remember not to leave anything valuable in the car while you're exploring the lake.

How to Get There

Often overlooked fishing opportunities

Not only does Lake Underhill have a good paved trail it also has some great shoreline bass fishing opportunities. Fishing around the abundant shoreline vegetation may reward you with a trophy largemouth bass.
