High Springs, Florida
Description
Added by Alanna Murphy
O'leno State Park is an enchanting park located in High Springs, Florida. With multiple trails, the alluring Santa Fe River, and the wobbly swinging bridge, O'leno State Park is definitely worth exploring!
My sister and I decided to stop at O'leno State Park after our Ichetucknee Springs adventure while up in North Fl. We didn't know what to expect from the park but we were pleasantly surprised by how magical and serene the park was. We parked our car and found the nearest trail to start a hike. We passed by the dark, peaceful Santa Fe River and crossed over the famous swinging bridge. As we continued walking, we encountered tons of tiny frogs hopping by our feet. The giant trees and perfect weather made for a nice day of hiking and exploring.
There are a few different hikes to choose from at O'leno State Park. The three most popular are the River Trail hike (1.44 miles), Parener's Branch (3.69 miles), and the Limestone Trail (.61 miles). All are easy hikes with a lot to see along the way!
