I started early and actually went on the reverse route. It took under four hours and I only saw people in the last half of the hike. It was very windy last weekend when I went, so prepare accordingly if high winds are in the forecast.

...because you will need them. I did this with my dad in under four hours, round trip. Start early to avoid the crowds and the sun. In the summer it heats up quickly by ten. The view is worth it of course. If you have poor knees take your trekking poles for the way down.
