Did the hike this past weekend and it was amazing! The trail was steep but expected for high peaks. Just a warning for hikers that the bears are active this summer. I encountered a bear and two cubs on the Gill Brook trails, by the camp sights. She wasn't afraid of people, we yelled and blew whistles at her and she kept approaching us. I dropped my bag trying to get mace and she snatched it. (8/7/16)
