After the first flat mile on the Poggy trail this becomes a tough and technical hike with lots of scrambling over rocks and scree climbing. The trail is blazed and cairned, but it can still be easy to go astray especially on the Boulder fields. There are some false summits, and lots of exposed ridge walking which provide fantastic views for the majority of the hike. We saw lots of moose droppings, but did not see much wildlife. This was overall a butt kicker, but very fun and beautiful.
