Explore Boulder Falls, CO

0.1 miles  - Out-and-Back Trail

Take a quick walk to this 70-ft waterfall, just 20 minutes from Boulder.

While the narrow trail is often popular, it's only 100 yards to see this 70-ft tall waterfall, set against a beautiful canyon backdrop. Keep in mind there's no climbing allowed on or around the falls. It is also a good idea to check if the trail is closed for maintenance, ahead of time.

Closed until further notice

So sad to see the path was closed. Planned on shooting sunset and got there to find the trail closed with several signs about not trespassing. The area is beautiful though and you can partially see the waterfall from the road. It sounds like a few inexperienced climbers have tried climbing and have fallen to death and that is why the path is closed.

I Love Waterfalls

This path was so quick and easy to see a gorgeous waterfall. Right now, in January, the falls are partially iced over which is pretty incredible to see. And though the trail is labeled closed, you can see that many people go anyway. Just be careful with the slick ice.. it would be very easy to slip! Id wear crampons next time to be safer!

I really enjoyed viewing this falls in person, it's just rocky and not super photographic like most Colorado falls.
