Hike Chimney Gulch, Lookout Mountain & Buffalo Bill Trail - Golden Colorado

The trail quickly climbs to the top of Lookout Mountain to a scenic overlook that offers amazing view of the Rocky Mountain Front Range, Clear Creek Canyon and the Town of Golden, CO. Chimney Gulch Trail is 2.3 miles one-way and ends at Lookout Mountain Road. Cross the road to the first scenic overlook at the top of the Windy Saddle Park. Enjoy the views of Clear Creek Canyon from this popular paragliding/hang-gliding launch point as they take flight from the near by Mount Zion! From here you will continue onto Lookout Mountain Trail (1.4 miles) to a junction with the Buffalo Bill Trail. Head left following the Buffalo Bill Trail (0.3 miles) to Buffalo Bill's grave site, Memorial Museum and Lookout Mountain Overlook. The summit of Lookout Mountain has an elevation of 7,377 ft.

Getting There: Parking is available at the trail-head on the South side of Hwy 6 right outside and just minutes from downtown Golden, CO.
