Lake is untouched by manVivid colorFeels like another worldLooks like it couldn't be real but it is(you're there looking at it. Lol)Huge variety scenerySpending time at hanging lake could make you believe in magic

Just out side of Glenwood Springs, ColoRADo (which is an adventure in its self with bright painted houses and amusement park on the top of a mountain) not far off the main road is the parking lot. Be prepared to go early or wait in line because parking is very limited. This hike is only a little over a mile one way, about 3 round trip. But it is a steep and rocky hike. Lots of stair stepping up medium sized rocks. When you reach a set of stairs and hand rails you can rejoice because you are almost there. Just ahead is a fork in the trail where you turn right. Your eye will pop out of your head as this magic land unfolds as you turn. Moss covered waterfalls with trees hanging off of the cliffs edge. Water so clear you can see forever(you will wish you could swim through the crystal clear waters, but resist because our oily human body's will disrupt the natural beauty of the lake.) One giant tree has fallen across the lake and you can see its branches all the way down. There is a wooden walk way with benches so you can sit and take in all the beauty. Hanging lake is a fairytale land in the middle of the Colorado mountains and is definitely bucket list worthy.
